For my inlay mugs and soap dish I like to use simple colours for my glazes, to enhance the patterns slightly and to give a little bit of depth. I use clear or crackled blue with black underglaze for the pattern.

To decorate the mugs I use latex to resist the glaze ,this technique can be a bit fiddly and requires precision.

I  have been playing with overlapping  glazes to create a lake, mountain and earth look . This is what I came up with:
